The Nutrition and Dietetics program held the Induction for the 2026–2027 Supervised Practice, aimed at students who will begin this important phase of professional training. The event took place on April 8 and 9, featuring the participation of academic authorities, professors, guest professionals, and outgoing interns, who shared knowledge and experiences to strengthen the skills of the incoming interns.
During the event, key topics for performance across various practice settings were addressed, including general internship guidelines, the use of institutional platforms, professionalism and workplace culture, the "Nueva Infancia" (New Childhood) Strategy, psychology in nutritional care, psychological first aid, prevention of workplace aggression and harassment, as well as mindfulness techniques for personal well-being.
The induction featured the participation of Associate Dean Ana Tirapé, Ph.D.; Internship Coordinator Josseline Andrade, M.Sc.; representative of the Plan Intersectorial Nueva Infancia, Joyce Torys, Econ.; Community Internships Coordinator Valeria Guzmán, M.Sc.; representatives from CEPROEM and GBP; and psychologist David Suescum (Psychologist at the Hospital de Infectología). Additionally, outgoing interns played a fundamental role by sharing their experiences at different healthcare institutions and participating in panel discussions designed to facilitate the transition for the new interns.
As part of the integration and evaluation activities, knowledge and skill application contests were held, culminating in an award ceremony, group photographs, and the official farewell by the Faculty authorities.
