In a joint effort to strengthen food security and neonatal well-being in crisis contexts, MSc. Luz María Valencia Erazo, a professor in the Nutrition program, participated as a speaker in the "Obstetric and Neonatal Emergency Strengthening Workshop." The event was organized by the Guayas Provincial Health Directorate of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP).

MSc. Valencia's intervention focused on the topic "Breastfeeding in Emergencies," a fundamental lecture designed to provide health personnel with technical tools that guarantee timely and humanized care. This professional development session was part of the "Communities that Transform Realities" project, aimed at improving maternal and neonatal health indicators within the jurisdiction.

The workshop took place last Tuesday, April 28, at the Dr. Fernando Procel Hidalgo Auditorium of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil. The participation of the ESPOL professor reaffirms the FLS's commitment to academic excellence and its expertise in the field of Nutrition at the service of Ecuadorian public health.
