On June 10, 2026, the STEM Auditorium at ESPOL hosted the prestigious 5th White Coat Ceremony, an emblematic event celebrating the completion of the rotating internship for 46 students from the Nutrition and Dietetics program.
This ceremony represents a successful bridge between academia and the country’s healthcare system, bringing together representatives from the various hospitals and health centers where the interns completed their pre-professional practices. Accompanied by their families, professors, and authorities, these future healthcare professionals received emotional recognition for their hard work and dedication in the field.
During the event, outstanding achievements of the cohort were awarded. The highest recognition of the day was granted to Carmen Matías de la Cruz, who received a special distinction for achieving the best overall performance during her internship. Furthermore, students received their official certificates of completion for the "Rotating Internship Program," endorsed and delivered by the Guayas Provincial Health Directorate.
