ESPOL Research Project Wins "Best Research Project" Award from Secuencia Ecuador

The research project titled “Omics technologies applied to the study of B-cell lymphoma for the discovery of biomarkers associated with diagnosis and prognosis” received recognition as the best innovation project in the second edition of the Secuencia Ecuador competition. This project is made possible through the joint work of the Society for the Fight Against Cancer (SOLCA) and the Faculty of Life Sciences (FCV) of the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral.

This initiative, sponsored by the companies BioSequence, BioMol, and Illumina, rewards projects by Ecuadorian researchers that seek to create a positive impact within society by making significant advances through innovation within their areas of study.

The team of researchers from ESPOL is composed of Fernanda Bertuccez, a professor in the Biology program; Diana Carvajal, a professor in the Nutrition and Dietetics program; and research technician Carlos Ordóñez.
