Under the motto "Diving for Science," various stakeholders from the underwater community gathered on February 5th for the "Noche de Buzos Ecuador" (Divers' Night Ecuador) event. Quito – In a decisive step for public health and the guarantee of children's rights, the official establishment of the Technical Commission of the National Council for Breastfeeding (CONALMA) took place. This body serves as a fundamental pillar to coordinate inter-institutional actions aimed at guaranteeing, protecting, and promoting breastfeeding, ratifying it as an essential human right in the country.

The expedition, which took place from January 8th to 11th, covered strategic locations in the provinces of Napo (Tena) and Pastaza (Puyo). The primary objective was to closely study the morphological and behavioral adaptations of native fauna inhabiting the extreme environments of Amazonian caverns.
