On March 25, 2026, the Faculty of Life Sciences (FLS) celebrated the successful thesis defense of Christian Ronny Lasso García, who earned his Master’s degree in Applied Biosciences with a Major in Biodiscovery. His research stands out for rescuing and scientifically analyzing the traditional diet of the Kichwa breastfeeding population.
With the goal of consolidating 2026 strategic planning, ESPOL hosted a key technical meeting to monitor the project: "Multi-stakeholder Innovation in Water Management for Local Development in the Bulubulu Basin – Ecuador." This initiative seeks to transform the reality of rural communities through technical and collaborative water resource management.
The Faculty of Life Sciences (FCV) reaffirmed its commitment to community health through its active participation in the Intersectoral Tables of the Tarqui Parish, which were held monthly throughout 2025. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), coordinates efforts between academia and the public sector to address nutritional and epidemiological issues in the area.
